- Pauline Lunsingh Scheurleer
Pauline Lunsingh Scheurleer was curator of South and Southeast Asian art at the Rijksmuseum until she retired in 2008. Since then she has continued her research into the art of the Indonesian Hindu-Buddhist period and the history of the collection of Asian art by the Dutch. The Canter Visscher Album came to her notice in 1975, when the then owner, M. Feikema, presented it to Hein Verwey, curator at the Rijksmuseum voor Volkenkunde in Leiden. Her recent publications include entries for Jan van Campen et al. (eds.), Asia in Amsterdam: The Culture of Luxury in the Golden Age, exh. cat. Amsterdam (Rijksmuseum)/Salem (Peabody Essex Museum) 2015.
