Abstract
Intra-channel XPM compensation is proposed for reduced-complexity back-propagation. By optimizing the number of intra-channel sub-bands, single-stage back-propagation is demonstrated on a 3,400 km straight-line NZ-DSF link. A trade-off between complexity and performance is analyzed.
