Abstract

PROF. B. V. SOUTHWELL, rector of the Imperial Collegeof Science and Technology, London, has announced in a letter inThe Times that the College has come to an arrangement with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology whereby the two institutions will maintain, after the War, a regular interchange of staff and postgraduate students. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, or more briefly, 'M.I.T.', has a history of eighty years of activity which has made it known throughout the world as a centre for postgraduate instruction and research in science and technology.
