Abstract
The ARZTBRIEF system supports the generation of medical reports to the referring practioner by the physician in the cardiological ambulance of the Heart Centre.
A main characteristic of the system is that it consequently exploits the possibilities of multimedia techniques both for user input and output For example, the user may click on icons or graphical schemes, select from menus, draw / colorize simple forms, talk into a sound digitizer or use a keyboard. The system is now in routine use and has shown that it decreases the time until the referring physician receives the report considerably.
