Abstract
Geographic medicine is becoming important because it aims to provide an understanding of health problems and improve the health of people worldwide based on the various geographic factors influencing them. The research of geographical environment with health status is getting higher practical significance. In this paper we presented a cross-regional comparison experiment for dynamic ECG recordings from two distinct groups: one group is in Northeast China (NEC), the city of Shuangya Hill, Heilongjiang; another group involves subjects in the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT), group subjects were from different place of China. Conventional Heart Rate Variability (HRV) parameters, such as SDNN-24, RMSSD, PNN50, SDANN index, SDNN index (time-domain indexes), TP, ULF, LF, UF, LF/UF (frequency-domain indexes), and VP, VT and AT (arrhythmia indexes) were analyzed. The results show that arrhythmia indexes of the two groups have a significant difference which reflects the health conditions are quite different. Accordingly, with further analysis of the frequency-domain indexes and time-domain indexes, it shows that the time-domain indexes were almost the same while the frequency-domain indexes shows there were a 20% average difference between the two groups. Apparently, for the analysis of HRV, the frequency-domain indexes are more persuasive than time-domain indexes.
