SingleStore provides a native vector data type and supports similarity searches over vector data using k-nearest neighbor search (kNN) and indexed Approximate Nearest Neighbor (ANN) search. Indexed ANN search can greatly improve the performance of queries over large vector data sets.

The following functions are available for the vector type:

DOT_PRODUCT: Calculate the dot product of two vectors.
EUCLIDEAN_DISTANCE: Calculate the Euclidean distance between two vectors.
Cosine Similarity and Cosine Distance: Calculate the cosine similarity and distance metrics.
SCALAR_VECTOR_MUL: Multiply a vector by a scalar value.
VECTOR_ADD: Add two vectors.
VECTOR_ELEMENTS_SUM: Sum all the elements in a vector.
VECTOR_KTH_ELEMENT: Find the kth element of a vector.
VECTOR_MUL: Multiply two vectors element-wise.
VECTOR_NUM_ELEMENTS: Count the number of elements in a vector.
VECTOR_SORT: Sort a vector.
VECTOR_SUB: Subtract one vector from a second vector.

Use the following steps to verify the authenticity ofsinglestoredb-server,singlestoredb-toolbox,singlestoredb-studio, andsinglestore-client SingleStore files that have been downloaded.

You may perform the following steps on any computer that can runcosign, such as the main deployment host of the cluster.

(Optional) Run the following command to view the associated signature files.

```
Download the signature file from the SingleStore release server.
- Option 1: Click theDownload Signature button next to the SingleStore file.
- Option 2: Copy and paste the following URL into the address bar of your browser and save the signature file.
- Option 3: Run the following command to download the signature file.

curl -O undefined
```

After the signature file has been downloaded, run the following command to verify the authenticity of the SingleStore file.
