numpy.matrix.min

matrix.min(axis=None,out=None)[source]

Return the minimum value along an axis.

Parameters:
See `amin` for complete descriptions.

Notes

This is the same asndarray.min, but returns amatrix objectwherendarray.min would return an ndarray.

Examples

>>>x=-np.matrix(np.arange(12).reshape((3,4)));xmatrix([[  0,  -1,  -2,  -3],        [ -4,  -5,  -6,  -7],        [ -8,  -9, -10, -11]])>>>x.min()-11>>>x.min(0)matrix([[ -8,  -9, -10, -11]])>>>x.min(1)matrix([[ -3],        [ -7],        [-11]])
