- DESCRIPTION
(ALPHA)gcloud alpha compute target-instances configexportexports the configuration for a Compute Engine target instance.Target instance configurations can be exported in Kubernetes Resource Model(krm) or Terraform HCL formats. The default format is
krm.Specifying
--allallows you to export the configurations for alltarget instances within the project.Specifying
--pathallows you to export the configuration(s) to alocal directory.- EXAMPLES
- To export the configuration for a target instance, run:

- Target instance resource - Target instance to export the configuration for. Thearguments in this group can be used to specify the attributes of this resource.(NOTE) Some attributes are not given arguments in this group but can be set inother ways.
To set the
projectattribute:- provide the argument
target_instanceon the command line with afully specified name; - provide the argument
--projecton the command line; - set the property
core/project.
TARGET_INSTANCE- ID of the target instance or fully qualified identifier for the target instance.
To set the
target_instanceattribute:- provide the argument
target_instanceon the command line.
This positional argument must be specified if any of the other arguments in thisgroup are specified.

--zone=ZONE- The name of the Google Compute Engine zone.
To set the
zoneattribute:- provide the argument
target_instanceon the command line with afully specified name; - provide the argument
--zoneon the command line; - set the property

--all- Retrieve all resources within the project. If
--pathis specifiedand is a valid directory, resources will be output as individual files based onresource name and scope. If--pathis not specified, resources willbe streamed to stdout.
- Target instance resource - Target instance to export the configuration for. Thearguments in this group can be used to specify the attributes of this resource.(NOTE) Some attributes are not given arguments in this group but can be set inother ways.
- Exactly one of these must be specified:
- FLAGS
--path=PATH; default="-"- Path of the directory or file to output configuration(s). To outputconfigurations to stdout, specify "--path=-".
--resource-format=RESOURCE_FORMAT- Format of the configuration to export. Available configuration formats areKubernetes Resource Model YAML (krm) or Terraform HCL (terraform). Commanddefaults to "krm".
RESOURCE_FORMATmust be one of:krm,terraform.
