Video Editing App Template¶
TheVideo Editing app template provides a ready-to-use setup for a complete video editing workspace.
The default Video Editing app template.¶
Overview¶
This template streamlines the workflow for editing video, image, and audio sources together in a single timeline.Each piece of media is represented as its own strip in the Sequencer, where clips can be arranged, trimmed,and combined with effects to produce a polished final video.
Features¶
File Browser:Preconfigured to display only relevant file types, making it easier to locate and import video, image,and audio files.
Preview:The Preview area provides an interactive viewer where you can select, transform, and preview stripsdirectly in the video output.
Sequencer:The Sequencer is where you assemble and edit video, image, and sound strips.
Properties Editor:Simplified to display only essential tabs:Render,Output,Scene, andStrip Modifiers.
Default Settings¶
TheEdit scene has a default duration of10 seconds, providing a starting point for new projects.
TheEdit scene is set as both the current scene and the active Sequencer scene.
Resolution defaults to1920 × 1080 HD at24 FPS, suitable for most video work.
The output format is preset for video rendering, allowing quick exports.
Usage¶
ChooseFile ‣ New ‣ Video Editing to open the template.
Use the File Browser to locate your media files.
Drag and drop media (movies, images, or sounds) into the Sequencer area.
Arrange and edit the strips as needed.
UseRender ‣ Render Animation to export your final video.
This template offers an efficient starting point for editing projects, combining layout, settings,and workflow elements tailored for video production.
