A downloadable asset pack
Hi there! This is my first project here on itch.io—and hopefully just the beginning of a long, beautiful pixel art journey. I've spent over 12 years freelancing with indie game developers like you, and if there's one thing that fuels my creative thrusters, it's drawingspace ships. Like... an unhealthy amount of space ships. All the spaceships! 😂
Inspired by creators likeLimezu I decided to launch my own ever-growing bundle ofmodularparts—the kind that lets you build space ships with ridiculous levels of customization. My mission? Thousands of assets. Infinite combinations. Yes, sir!
What's Inside? 🚀
Bodies (split in two parts), cockpits, wings, flaps, fins, engines, weapons, lights, and a ridiculous amount of spaceship accessories. With the latest update (v1.5), you're looking at 800+ individual parts ready to fuel your creative hyperdrive. I've also included some mothership tiles, so you can go big—like intergalactic carriers big. More content is already in the works—this pack will only get better with time (like wine, or my girlfriend).

Thank you for your kind words, Lenda. I have thought about it recently, but I think it would requirea new type of hull, a smaller one, with different attachments. Because the wings, for example, are going to be too big for the smaller hull. Unless I am missing something and you have a better idea how to do this? Feel free to useimgur.com to upload a sketch for me if you like. At least the weapons, engines and misc attachments could be reused on smaller ships, I believe. Haven't tested, but it's definitely something I might be interested giving a try.
Take the shellcore command game for example. Every ship start with a very small body/core that you can build from:

You can then use modules such as hull, wings, weapons, engines to connect and to make the shape of the ship. More modules mean a bigger ship:

I know that the modules in this game and this pack have different scales, but this is just to show that you can create various shapes and ship sizes with just enough modules, no matter the size. In my opinion the secret is the HULL modules. They make the main structure of the ship and connect the body to other modules.
That's what I'm thinking and I hope it's clear!
Also, I really loved the pack, so I'll be doing a game where players can design their own ships from body using other modules. Each module will have it's own property and stats. The engine for example will allow fwd/bwd or strafe movements, depending on the location of the engine. Wings will speed up rotation but also increase the overall mass and so on.
Hi Jinairu. Thank you, I appreciate it. Yes, new content will be added gradually. It is certain. I don't know how many parts, but the plan is to make this an ongoing project, with hundreds of parts added overtime.
What I can say for sure is that 4 extra bodies will be added in the following days, since someone asked below.
