The Music of Disney's One Saturday Morning Plus Other Disney TV Favorites is an album originally released byWalt Disney Records on audio cassette, but initially not on CD, in the spring of1999. It contains a selection of musical highlights from the shows and interstitials featured onDisney's One Saturday Morning at the time, plus a few musical highlights fromTimon & Pumbaa, which was not featured on the block. The album also contains two songs fromScience Court, which was not produced by Disney.
Track 17, despite being labeled as a reprise, is nothing more than an unmodified repeat of Track 1. It only seems to be on the album to fill up the remaining space between the "Mrs. Munger's Class" sketch audio and the end of Side 1 of the tape.
The closing track, "One Saturday Morning Mega Mix", is a remix of theOne Saturday Morning theme song mixed with the themes fromRecess,Doug, andPepper Ann, with repeated samplings of Mrs. Munger saying "Simmer!"
Despite initially being a cassette-only release, "Alone Together" and theJungle Cubs theme are presented in noticeably better audio quality here than on theDisney's Jungle Boogie album.
OnSeptember 13,2022 (the day of One Saturday Morning's 25th anniversary), it was announced that the album, now slightly retitledThe Music of Disney One Saturday Morning Plus Other Disney Toon Favorites, would be re-released on CD and vinyl, as well as on music streaming services;[1] no release date has yet been specified, nor has it mentioned if any changes will be made to the album's content.
