Shane Morris was born inBoston,Massachusetts, and started his career in the radio business in the 1980s. He moved toFlorida in1992 and worked as a home builder for a major national company, building over 400 homes in the Sarasota-Bradenton area from1998 to2008. After the housing market crashed, he decided to pursue his passion for voice acting and writing. He attended Northeast Broadcasting School to improve his skills and contacted John Burr, a voice-over coach who also lived in Sarasota. He read several books on the voice-over industry and signed up for Voices, an online marketplace for voice talent.
In2011, he became a premium member of Voices and started auditioning for various projects. He landed his first major role as a story writer forFrozen, a Disney animated film that became a worldwide phenomenon. He also created the characters ofOlaf, the snowman, andSven, the reindeer. He received aBAFTA Award for Best Animated Film forFrozen in2014.
In2018, he created and producedRainbow Rangers, an animated series for preschoolers that features seven girls with different powers who protect the environment. The show aired onNick Jr. and was renewed for two seasons. In2023, he wrote the story forPAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, a spin-off film based on the popular children's seriesPAW Patrol. The film was released byParamount Pictures andNickelodeon Movies and received positive reviews from critics and audiences.

Shane Morris is married to Marcia Morris, a real estate agent, and has two children. He lives in Sarasota,Florida, where he enjoys photography, sailing, fishing, playing guitar, and golfing. He is active on social media and hosts a podcast for the Colson Center, a Christian worldview ministry.
