Synopsis[]

Menlo andRandall plan to take over the school after everyone ignores them.

Plot[]

Mikey and Gus are in line to turn in their permission slips in to Root Beer rapids, but as soon as they go up to Menlo to turn it in, it becomes 1:00 and Menlo closes his office. He angrily tells the two off as he insists that he stick to the rules. When they join the rest of the Gang to play at recess, Randall hogs all the good balls to himself, much to everyone's annoyance. T.J. calls for a battle tag to all the kids at recess. As both teams are decided, Randall and Menlo are both left out, due to everyone disliking them. Both boys come to the conclusion that no one respects the hard work they do and decide to use their skills to team up and rule the playground by first getting all the members of the Recess Gang to do their bidding.

Soon, Randall and Menlo start to blackmail the rest of the kids and everyone is forced to attend events hosted by them. When T.J. stands up to them, Menlo and Randall use their connections to have Mikey fraudulently suspended from school. With no other options, T.J. calls for all the students to attend another game of battle tag, but this time, they invite Menlo to join them, causing Randall to lose his hold over everyone. Satisfied with the game, Menlo decides to return to his life as a school bureaucrat. As Mikey returns to school absolved from his false crime, Randall vows revenge against T.J. and his friends, only to get hit in the head by a dodgeball.

Trivia[]

  • OnDisney+ and outside the U.S., this episode is first next to "The Bet".
  • Mikey and Gus were already waiting in line inside Menlo's room much before the time ran out. Therefore, it could be argued that it was Menlo's fault for not being efficient enough to collect all slips in time.
