- In an early version ofThe Emperor's New Groove, then known asKingdom of the Sun, Wilson was to have voiced that version's counterpart ofPacha, then a young man nearly identical toKuzco. Following his firing, Wilson became self-conscious about his voice, though he was easily revalidated when he got the role ofLightning McQueen inCars.
- He was considered for the role ofObi-Wan Kenobi inStar Wars: The Phantom Menace. However,Ewan McGregor was cast in the end.[citation needed]
