Source Once Upon a Mouse was a live stage show that was performed atTokyo Disneyland fromJuly 19 ,1999 toMay 23 ,2004 . This was one of few Tokyo Disneyland attractions where characters spoke English with a little Japanese. The show featuredMickey Mouse and his friends, either Disney or Pixar, in a musical revue celebrating the history and legacy ofDisney animation.
Show summary [ ] The show was divided into four segments, each with a different theme and style. The segments were:
Mickey and His Pals : A tribute to the classic Disney cartoons, featuring songs such as “Mickey Mouse March ”, “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah ”, “Heigh-Ho ”, and “The Bare Necessities ”.Disney's Dreamers : A showcase of theDisney Renaissance films, featuring songs such as “Part of Your World ”, “Beauty and the Beast ”, “A Whole New World ”, and “Circle of Life ”.Disney's Magic Makers : A homage to the Disney animators and artists, featuring songs such as “When You Wish Upon a Star ”, “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”, “Be Our Guest ”, and “You've Got a Friend in Me ”.Once Upon a Mouse : A grand finale featuring all the characters and songs from the previous segments.The show was performed at the Showbase 2000 theater inTomorrowland , which had a capacity of 1,500 seats. The theater was equipped with special effects such as lasers, fog, pyrotechnics, and water jets. The show also featured live performers, dancers, and puppeteers, as well as audio-animatronic figures of Mickey Mouse,Minnie Mouse ,Donald Duck ,Goofy ,Chip and Dale , andPluto . It was well received by guests and critics alike, who praised its musical variety, production value, and nostalgic appeal. The show was replaced byOne Man's Dream II: The Magic Lives On in 2004, which continued the theme of celebrating Disney animation with new segments and songs.
