Old Burial Hill is an ancient graveyard located inSalem,Massachusetts. It contains gravestones that date back to the 1600s. Witches are unable to set foot in here since the site is on hallowed ground. The tombs ofWilliam Butcherson andEmily Binx are located here.

Old Burial Hill has been featured in several films and television shows, most notably the Disney fantasy comedy filmsHocus Pocus (1993) and its sequelHocus Pocus 2 (2022). In both films, the cemetery is the resting place of Billy Butcherson, a zombie who was once the lover ofWinifred Sanderson, one of the three villainous witches who terrorize Salem on Halloween night. Billy was killed by Winifred in 1693 after she caught him cheating on her with her sisterSarah, and she sewed his mouth shut with a dull needle so he could not reveal her secrets.
