Donald Alva "Don" Duckwall was an American long time production manager atWalt Disney Animation Studios.

Duckwall was born on April 2, 1916 at Clay Center, the son of Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Duckwall. The family moved to Abilene when he was a small child where he graduated from Abilene High School in 1934 and Kansas State University in 1938.

In 1939, he moved to California to pursue a film career and found work with Disney as an assistant toClyde Geronimi, working onPluto cartoons and films, likeDumbo andBambi. He left the studio duringDisney animators' strike on September 12, 1941. Duckwell later return to the studio on March 14, 1955 where he became an assistant director. Eventually he became an executive production manager of the animation department and Director of Animation Administration. Duckwall worked very closely on features, likeThe Jungle Book,The Aristocats,Robin Hood, andThe Fox and the Hound, which was the last film he worked on before retiring.

Outside ofDisney, he contributed to Leon Schlesinger Studios and the Hanna Barbara production ofCharlotte's Web.

He died of complications resulting from Alzheimer's disease in 1986. He was cremated and his ashes were scattered at sea.
