At the age of 12 Garry Snow received a Red Box D&D set, which sparked a lifelong love of sharing stories and playing games.
30 years later, Garry combined these two passions by directing Friendly Local Game Store, a documentary about the world’s largest game store in Calgary, Canada - The Sentry Box. Through interviews of owners, staff and customers, the film explores why games are the perfect activity to bring people together.
Garry went on to launch the Dieku Podcast where he conducts long-form interviews with indie game designers about their creative journeys.
Taking the wisdom and knowledge gained through these conversations, Garry designed the minimalist fantasy game – Fängelsehåla - combining elegant mechanics, tactile game play along with the charm of 1960's children book illustrations.
Building upon the Doom6 mechanics used in Fäng, Garry is preparing to crowdfund Bug Busters Ltd, where the players are scrappy exterminators fending off a secret alien invasion.
