Places UI Kit: A ready-to-use library that provides room for customization and low-code development. Try it out, and share yourinput on your UI Kit experience.

Respond to click events on a boundary.

  • This example demonstrates handling click and mousemove events on administrative area boundaries (counties) near Denver, CO.

  • When a county is clicked, it is highlighted and an info window displays its details (display name, place ID, feature type).

  • Hovering over a county with the mouse changes its border style for visual feedback.

  • The map uses Data Driven Styling to display the boundaries and allows interaction through event listeners.

  • The code is provided in both TypeScript and JavaScript, with options to try the sample in JSFiddle, Google Cloud Shell or locally after cloning the repository.

This example map shows the boundaries for counties near Denver, CO(Administrative Area Level 2), and has an event handler that styles the clickedpolygon and displays an info window with the event data.
