ee.Geometry.LinearRing.bounds

  • Thebounds() method returns the bounding rectangle of a geometry.

  • It can accept optionalmaxError andproj arguments to control reprojection error and output projection.

  • The method is available for LinearRing objects and returns a Geometry object.

  • Example code is provided in both JavaScript and Python to demonstrate its usage.

Returns the bounding rectangle of the geometry.

UsageReturns
LinearRing.bounds(maxError,proj)Geometry
ArgumentTypeDetails
this:geometryGeometryReturn the bounding box of this geometry.
maxErrorErrorMargin, default: nullThe maximum amount of error tolerated when performing any necessary reprojection.
projProjection, default: nullIf specified, the result will be in this projection. Otherwise it will be in EPSG:4326.
