Non-standard: This feature is not standardized. We do not recommend using non-standard features in production, as they have limited browser support, and may change or be removed. However, they can be a suitable alternative in specific cases where no standard option exists.

Note:All browsers support thetransform property without vendor prefixes. Only WebKit (Safari), and not Chromium, based browsers supports the-webkit-transform-2d media feature. No browsers supporttransform, without the prefix or2d extension, as a media query. Use the@supports (transform) feature query instead.

The-webkit-transform-2d BooleanCSSmedia feature is aWebKit extension whose value istrue if vendor-prefixed CSS 2Dtransforms and non-standard vendor-prefixed media queries are supported.

Syntax

-webkit-transform-2d is a BooleanCSSmedia feature whose value istrue if the browser supports-webkit prefixed CSS 2Dtransforms.

Values

true

The browser supports the 2D CSS transforms with the-webkit prefix.

false

The 2D CSS transforms prefixed with-webkit are not supported by the browser.

Examples

Basic example

This media feature is only supported by WebKit. The unprefixedtransform property is supported in all modern browsers. If possible, use an@supports feature query instead:

@supports (-webkit-transform: translate(100px, 100px)) {  div {    -webkit-transform: translate(100px, 100px);  }}
