WebGLRenderingContext: blendColor() method

Baseline Widely available

This feature is well established and works across many devices and browser versions. It’s been available across browsers since ⁨July 2015⁩.

Note: This feature is available inWeb Workers.

TheWebGLRenderingContext.blendColor() method of theWebGL API is used to set the source anddestination blending factors.

Syntax

blendColor(red, green, blue, alpha)

Parameters

red

AGLclampf for the red component in the range of 0 to 1. Default value is 0.

green

AGLclampf for the green component in the range of 0 to 1. Default value is 0.

blue

AGLclampf for the blue component in the range of 0 to 1. Default value is 0.

alpha

AGLclampf for the alpha component (transparency) in the range of 0.to 1. Default value is 0.

Return value

None (undefined).

Examples

To set the blend color, use:

gl.blendColor(0, 0.5, 1, 1);

To get the blend color, query theBLEND_COLOR constant which returns aFloat32Array.

gl.getParameter(gl.BLEND_COLOR);// Float32Array[0, 0.5, 1, 1]
