Range: cloneRange() method
Baseline Widely available
This feature is well established and works across many devices and browser versions. It’s been available across browsers since July 2015.
TheRange.cloneRange() method returns aRange object with boundary points identical to the clonedRange.
The returned clone is copied by value, not reference, so a change in eitherRange does not affect the other.
