This feature is well established and works across many devices and browser versions. It’s been available across browsers since July 2015.
TheHTMLModElement interface provides special properties (beyond the regular methods and properties available through theHTMLElement interface they also have available to them by inheritance) for manipulating modification elements, that is<del> and<ins>.

citeHTML attribute, containing a URI of a resource explaining the change.HTMLModElement.dateTimeA string reflecting the
