HTMLInputElement: type property

This feature is well established and works across many devices and browser versions. It’s been available across browsers since July 2015.
Thetype property of theHTMLInputElement interface indicates the kind of data allowed in the<input> element, for example a number, a date, or an email. Browsers will select the appropriate widget and behavior to help users to enter a valid value.
