HTMLFieldSetElement: setCustomValidity() method
Baseline Widely available
This feature is well established and works across many devices and browser versions. It’s been available across browsers since July 2015.
ThesetCustomValidity() method of theHTMLFieldSetElement interface sets the custom validity message for the<fieldset> element. Use the empty string to indicate that the element doesnot have a custom validity error.
The<fieldset> element is not a candidate for constraint validation. ThereportValidity() method will not cause the custom error message to be displayed to the user, but does set thecustomError property of the element'sValidityState object totrue and thevalid property tofalse.
