Element: ariaReadOnly property
Baseline 2023Newly available
Since October 2023, this feature works across the latest devices and browser versions. This feature might not work in older devices or browsers.
TheariaReadOnly property of theElement interface reflects the value of thearia-readonly attribute, which indicates that the element is not editable, but is otherwise operable.
Note:Where possible use an HTML<input> element withtype="text" or a<textarea> as these have built in semantics and do not require ARIA attributes.
