Element: ariaLevel property

Since ⁨October 2023⁩, this feature works across the latest devices and browser versions. This feature might not work in older devices or browsers.

TheariaLevel property of theElement interface reflects the value of thearia-level attribute, which defines the hierarchical level of an element within a structure.

Note:Where possible use an HTMLh1 or other correct heading level as these have built in semantics and do not require ARIA attributes.

Value

A string containing an integer.

Examples

In this example thearia-level attribute on the element with an ID ofmain-heading is set to "1". UsingariaLevel we update the value to "2".
