Credential: type property

This feature is well established and works across many devices and browser versions. It’s been available across browsers since September 2019.
Secure context: This feature is available only insecure contexts (HTTPS), in some or allsupporting browsers.
Thetype read-only property of theCredential interface returns a string containing the credential's type. Valid values arepassword,federated,public-key,identity andotp.
Value
A string contains a credential's given name.
