This feature is well established and works across many devices and browser versions. It’s been available across browsers since July 2015.
TheHTMLBaseElement interface contains the base URI for a document. This object inherits all of the properties and methods as described in theHTMLElement interface.

hrefHTML attribute, containing a base URL for relative URLs in the document.HTMLBaseElement.targetA string that reflects the
