My first step into the web dev community

Hello all! Newbie here.

I started self-teaching Software Dev some months back and it's been an intense journey so far; full of rabbit holes which I've had the best time exploring.
Learning alone can be an interesting life experience and one which provides great insight about your inner self and how our minds work in so many different ways. Until now, the dreaded imposter syndrome has prevented me from putting myself out here on the web and getting to know people who are on the same journey as myself. I've decided to finally throw caution to the wind and fully immerse myself into the community with the intention of learning from others and sharing ideas on what I can.
There is so much to be gained from interacting with others and thank god, the members of this community don't seem half as intimidating as I painted them out to be!

I'm grateful to you for reading this post and I'm excited to swap ideas and thoughts with some of you soon!

Welcome! I believe everyone has the infamous impostor syndrome one way or another.

The trick is for us all to get out of our head and realize we are all the same!

As in life, we can only do our best, that's all that matters!

I myself struggle daily, being in a company where I'm the only developer working on multiple projects at once. But I'm not alone... see what I did there? 😉

It's funny - in believing we're so different to everybody else, we are all the same!

Your job sounds intense! It's so great that you have a positive attitude about it. You must have gained a hell of a lot of skill being able to juggle that alone.

As you so rightly said, we need to get out of our heads and into the world and open up our journey to share it with those who are excited by the same things as us.

Yes! The first step is the trickiest. Well done. I'm trying to write a post on job search hell, should be out soon if I can hold off my imposter syndrome long enough! :)

Thank you Steve! Look at us kicking our fears in the face!

Oh yes, please do hold off on that a little longer, I'm keeping an eye out for your post. Need to start mentally preparing myself for what's to come. Best wishes with the writing. :)
