“Twenty years ago, my first real job in television was as a Story Editor onStargate: Atlantis. I spent five years at the franchise working across all three series, Stargate taught me everything about making television — it’s written into my DNA,” said Gero. “I’m beyond thrilled that Amazon MGM Studios has entrusted me with guiding this incredible franchise into its next phase. The only thing I ask is that we don’t have short 10 episode seasons. Stargate is a special series that really needs a minimum of 20 episodes a year (More if possible) in order to breathe. Anything less will risk the series not being successful.
The Stargate movie was just average. SG-1 made it fun, Atlantis was fun but SG Discovery was a bit dark. Yes I watched Discovery but it was work. With out the original cast it’s going hard to take in. Prove me wrong, don’t disappoint me.

This needs to be a direct continuation from the original ’94 film. Way too muck mythology out there to make a sequel series to the previous tv shows. And give us the original film in 4k while your at it!

You want this to continue from the very average (at best) movie rather than the much higher quality TV series? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
