The multi-camera comedy series hails from Mutchnick and hisWill & Grace creator David Kohan as well as Ryan Murphy. The series order was given less than two months after the pilot, written by Mutchnick and Kohan, wasofficially greenlighted and just a month after its live audience taping under director James Burrows.

My heart goes out to the cast and crew as this was a very difficult show to do. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the audience. Very well done.
