I am posting tonight based on the ridiculous nature of the headlines I have read the last couple days from an interview on the Andy Cohen show I did this week when…
Bryan appeared on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM show, where he was asked about Beyoncé’s snub.
“It’s a tricky question,” Bryan said. “Obviously Beyoncé made a country album. And Beyoncé has a lot of fans out there that have her back, and if she doesn’t get something they want, man, they come at you … as fans should do.”
He continued, “I mean, listen, I’m all for everybody coming in and making country albums and all that. But just by declaring that, just because she made one… A lot of great music’s overlooked. Sometimes you don’t get nominated.”
Bryan suggested that Beyoncé “come into our world and be country with us a little bit,” adding, “Beyoncé can do exactly what she wants to. She’s probably the biggest star in music. But come to an awards show and high-five us and have fun and get in the family too … Country music’s a lot about family.”

1st of all, everyone can’t win. That’s not how ANY of this works. That’s a problem with America now – this “Everybody gets a trophy” mentality.
2nd, it’s giving back peddling because you don’t want to face up to what you said. Plenty of “new artists” pop up in the country genre that nobody knows and nobody is asking them to “join the family”. I wonder why…
3rd – there are PLENTY of black artist that are WHOLLY embedded in the country genre, and have been for decadesssss and that’s ALL their catalog is. What would be the reason why they are never mentioned or nominated or invited to “join the family”?…
4th, all the anonymous comments are not shocking. Saying something with all your chest and in the same breath being too scared to stand behind your overt racism and hide it behind an anonymous comment/post is qwhite interesting indeed. 🐱

I don’t know why people are so upset because Beyoncé put out a country album.they say it’s not country and that is false information. Luke Bryan I am surprised at you making that statement about Beyoncé getting snowed by GMA. That is out of your character. You of all people should be supportive to any artist that has the creativity to add to country 🎶🎵. Beyoncé told you first the history of country music and because in the past blacks was not recognized of their talent and their fore not mention ,But white Artists for years took our song and said it was their , not giving black artist credit. Beyoncé was raise in Texas and had country vibe and R&B ,Pop and Jazz.she can sing anything if she put her heart into it. So she didn’t start off with country music first ..So what.she should be given the opportunity to share her talent of story telling.Dont be blind to what others can do because they are not white. Country music is not just for white audience. Black people enjoy it too. We have been telling stories all our lives.lets share the legacy of country music and where it originated from. Get educated.🌹💖

IF everyone should win just stop the awards because I’m everyone too . just grow up shes not country- it was dance music
, luke, Luke Luke. Now it sounds now it sounds like you’re just back pedaling. And you coming across as I read it and I didn’t read any headlines only your comment you coming off 1:00. Rather condescending too. Sarcastic and three. Racist! Yes I said racist. Country singers all about family you say come hang out with us for a while first and then you’ll be accepted is that what you’re saying if you don’t fit in until but until someone says it’s okay I mean either way she can fit in any way she wants that’s beyoncé fool

💯 Why come back and try to smooth things over. Not just Beyonce but most of us from the south grew up on country. In my case, long before Luke was borne, so what makes him an authority. I was a fan of Mel Tillis, Hank Williams,SR,Charlie Pride. To Luke Bryan, I’ll say “Here’s a quarter, call someone who appointed you the voice of country music.”
