PREVIOUS, May 1:Apple TV+ has released the first trailer for Jake Gyllenhaal’s legal thriller seriesPresumed Innocent. It begins with a voiceover by Gyllenhaal’s Rusty Sabich, saying “Love isn’t what people tell you that it is. In my experience it’s just something that grows. Until one day, you find yourself needing someone.” It’s the beginning of a steamy affair that ends up with Gyllenhaal’s Rusty looking guilty for murder. But is he?

PREVIOUS, April 24: Apple TV+ has moved up the premiere date for Presumed Innocent, its upcoming limited series starring and executive produced by Jake Gyllenhaal.
Inspired by Scott Turow’s 1990 courtroom thriller, the series from David E. Kelley, J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot and Warner Bros. TV will premiere Wednesday, June 12, just a few days afterits world premiere at the Tribeca Festival on June 9. It originally was scheduled to debut on June 14.

As reimagined by Kelley, who is an attorney by trade, thePresumed Innocentseries will explore obsession, sex, politics and the power and limits of love as the accused fights to hold his family and marriage together.
Ruth Negga, Bill Camp and Elizabeth Marvel also star.
Kelley serves as writer, executive producer and showrunner of the series. Abrams and Rachel Rusch Rich executive produce for Bad Robot. Kelley executive produces through David E. Kelley Productions alongside Matthew Tinker. Gyllenhaal, Dustin Thomason and Sharr White also serve as executive producers. Turow and Miki Johnson are co-executive producers. Anne Sewitsky will direct and executive produce the first two episodes. Greg Yaitanes also will direct.

For his next remake, Jake will be filming a movie version of the hit TV drama Scarecrow & Mrs. King.
Gyllenhaal will be playing Mrs. King.

Why anyone wants to remake the Harrison Ford Greta Sacchi film is beyond me. It was flawless. They nust have really changed the script.

They’re adapting the book – not remaking the previous movie that adapted the book. Obviously there are numerous changes available.
