Have I Got News For Youis one of the longest running comedy panel shows in the UK and it’s finally set to get it own U.S. remake.

CNN is adapting the show, which launched in the UK 1990 and has produced over 500 episodes. It will premiere the show in the fall and it will air on Saturday nights.

The news was unveiled at Warner Bros. Discovery’s Upfront in New York.

No cast has been set for the CNN series; Private Eye editor Ian Hislop and comedian Paul Merton are the captains for the UK show, which has had rotating guest hosts for over 20 years.

The series will be produced by Hat Trick Productions, which makes the UK version and was behind Showtime’sEpisodes. Jimmy Mulville, Richard Wilson and Jim Biederman will exec produce.

The show features comic observations from the satirical to the surreal through the lens of a news quiz show.

It marks the latest attempt to remake the show in the U.S. CNN sister networkTBS made a pilot in 2012and NBC had previously attempted a version in 2009.

“We have been looking for innovative ways to explore new formats and expand the boundaries of CNN programming,” said Amy Entelis, EVP of talent, CNN Originals, and creative development for CNN Worldwide. “The series is the standard bearer of the genre and ripe for its American reincarnation as we revitalize Saturday nights on CNN.”
