The decision is not a surprise. The show premiered to modest ratings on ABC following its two-episode debut in Imax theaters two weeks before its linear premiere, and it never picked up steam. Box office receipts of $3.5 million disappointed all involved, and the show drew negative reviews from critics.
Marvel’s Inhumans explored the never-before-told epic adventure of the royal family, including Black Bolt, the enigmatic, commanding King of the Inhumans. After the family is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii, where they are greeted with surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them. Now they must find a way to reunite with each other and return to their home before their way of life is destroyed forever.
Marvel’s Inhumans starred Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Iwan Rheon as Maximus, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Ken Leung as Karnak, Ellen Woglom as Louise, Sonya Balmores as Auran and Mike Moh as Triton.
The series was executive produced by Scott Buck, along with Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory, with Buck serving as showrunner. Roel Reiné directed the first two episodes. This series was a Marvel and Imax project and was co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC.

Good riddance. This show was a hot mess right from the get go. Just a boring run of the mill cookie cutter primetime drama that just happened to be about comic book heroes. What it lacked in quality story telling, it made up for with terrible acting.
Also, by no means am I an expert on making a TV show, but I’m pretty sure that it’s never a good idea to make a show about superheroes and almost immediately strip 2 of them of their unique abilities (Medusa and Karnak).

C’mon ABC, what the H***!!!! I have been anxiously awaiting the return of INHUMANS. I only found out about this because I saw Black Bolt-Anson Mount was appearing on star trek discovery. Also ABC, you are considering cancelling AGENTS of SHIELD, have you lost your corporate minds? AGENTS is one of the best shows on television!!!!! Action packed, kick a**, comic books come to life!!!! Shame on you ABC.

Waste of the material. If you weren’t a Marvel comics fan you probably had no idea what was going on. Played out like the makers wanted to ape Game of Thrones but had no idea how. The most interesting character on the show was one of the “unimportant” villains (Mortis), which was proof positive that the writers and producers had no idea what they were doing.
Hopefully the show runner, who also ruined Iron Fist, won’t be allowed near any more Marvel properties.
Sorry it played out this way. As I said at the start they wasted the material. A huge piece of Inhumans lore is now dead to the MCU. But given what a dumpster fire this was it’s best for it to be forgotten.
