    UPDATED: The Official Selection roster for the 68thCannes Film Festival was announced in Paris this morning. After another down-to-the-wire process this year with few details emerging ahead of today, we’ve now got a lot more clarity. Among the more high-profile titles are Todd Haynes’Carol, Justin Kurzel’sMacbeth and Paolo Sorrentino’sYouth in Competition. Making out of competition appearances areWoody Allen withIrrational Man, Pete Docter with Pixar’sInside Out, and George Miller’sMad Max: Fury Road.

    Emmanuelle Bercot’sLa Tête Haute opens the fest on May 13 with the closing-night film yet to be unveiled. More titles will emerge next week as Critics’ Week and Directors’ Fortnight also announce.
