David Goyer Tapped To Produce Feature Version Of Oliver Daly Short ‘Miles’

EXCLUSIVE: A recent Deadline report aboutWME signing Oliver Daly and shopping his cutting-edge shortMiles for feature treatment brought out a stampede of producers. I can tell you thatDavid S. Goyer has won that battle, beating out several rivals for the chance to shepherd the pic. He’ll produce through his Phantom Four banner alongsideKevin Turen, who just joined him. They will be very hands on at developing the script with Daly and Adam Schneider, who’s also producing.
They will work with WME (which reps both Goyer and Daly) to find backing for a short that stars Alexa Demie & Robby Rasmussen (The Best Of Me) and is about the blurring of the boundaries of humanity and technology, as a teenage dirt bike rider stumbles upon M.A.X., an escaped prototype of the most advanced military creation in history. The short was funded through Kickstarter. Here is a preview:
