EXCLUSIVE:Kyle Gallner (A Nightmare On Elm Street, Veronica Mars) has joinedDisney‘s true-disaster pictureThe Finest Hours. The Craig Gillespie-directed film chronicles the massive rescue mission that’s launched when two oil tankers split in two off the coast of Cape Cod in 1952. Gallner joins Chris Pine and Casey Affleck in a key role as the rescue-boat’s engineman, who feels like he has a lot to prove on the mission to save the lives of dozens of men clinging to life in the waters of the Atlantic. Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson adapted the script from Casey Sherman and Michael J Tougias’ 2010 book. (UPDATE: Production begins this month in Massachusetts, Disney said this morning, with Holliday Grainger also joining the cast.)
