Deadwood was canceled for financial reasons. Now HBO brags about how much they spend (rightfully so) on Game of Thrones. Make up your mind.

“Deadwood” one of, if not the best, television show ever made.
“John from Cincinnati” some truly excellent characterizations and an great ensemble cast, let down by some very obscure scenes which might have been resolved in later episodes if it hadn’t been axed [I’m thinking here particularly of the video making scene]. Even so, much better than a hell of a lot of the other crap that gets endlessly renewed.
“Luck” some great writing rendered unintelligible by woeful enunciation by Dustin Hoffman and Nick Nolte. I eventually gave up on it becausue I couldn’t understand a word either of them mumbled. I mean, there’s method acting and then there’s sloppy acting. The other characters were fine.
Hugely disappointed by the decision not to proceed. - Lance
Why all the hate for Luck? I thought it was a compelling show about a world we don’t see much on TV. I was very disappointed when it was canceled.
