Synopsis for "Amazons Attacked, Part Two"

A.R.G.U.S. Homestand HQ

Jason surprisingly came back eight days after mysteriously leaving his new life with his sister,Wonder Woman. Now wearing a new suit of armor, Jason explains to Diana that, like when he unlocked his powers, he lived inside a dream-like dimension where truths were revealed to him. He woke up with this armor and an understanding of his powers in a far deeper way. While talking about this, an agent ofA.R.G.U.S. informsSteve Trevor about the spotting ofGrail in Munich, Germany. As Trevor prepares to travel there, Jason tells Diana he now can fly at vast speeds, suggesting to travel to Germany together to face and stop the daughter ofDarkseid. The two leave Steve there, with the promise to gather back in Munich. During the travel there, Jason explains Diana that he holds a personal grudge towards Grail, who tricked him since the first time when she faked rescuing him from theDeep Six in an apparent life-or-death situation. He wants to test his new knowledge of his powers against her, in a real fight. Thanks to Jason's supersonic flying, the two reach Munich in 12 minutes.

Munich, Bavaria, Germany

Once there, Diana finds out that Grail is battling, and she's on the verge of killing, theWild Huntsman, probably the custodian of one of the relics that Darkseid wants. Jason throws Diana at supersonic speed towards the fight, and Wonder Woman tackles Grail just in time before she could deliver the final blow to the Huntsman. The two start a fight while Jason handles and horde ofParademons. Successfully wrapping Grail with herLasso of Truth, Wonder Woman starts asking questions about Darkseid's true intentions: Grail tells Diana that her father is sick about having Parademons and idiots likeVundabar as soldiers, and he wants to bring under his rule a far stronger army. After all,Apokolips is in turmoil since the death of Darkseid and multiple factions assembled there, fighting for domination. There is no safe ally anymore. Darkseid plans to use the relics to align the "frequency" of theNew Gods pantheon with the one of theOld Gods on Earth, just like it was in the distant past. Doing that, he will be able to open a boom tube that will transport in the current time "mythological aspects" of the Greek pantheon that will serve him. Diana is a little dumbfounded by Grail's words, and so inquires about this last subject: Grail slips out thatThemyscira is involved, but then regains a sort of self-control, restraining herself and freeing herself from the Lasso thanks to her Amazon blood.

Grail opens a boom tube and escapes, then A.R.G.U.S. get to Munich and help the Wild Huntsman recover, with the little success of Grail not being able to take the relic away, as it was destroyed in the fight against the German hero. Meanwhile, Jason is saddened by the fact he could not test himself against Grail, but he finds that Diana's mind is distant. Asking for explanations, Diana tells him she is afraid about Themyscira, as he learned the plans of Darkseid involve her unreachable home.

The Amazon Jungle, Temple of the New Gods

Back to her base on Earth, Grail has to confess about her failure, a thing that disappoints Darkseid. The former ruler of Apokolips though also acknowledges that if his best warrior on Earth, his daughter, has failed just like theFemale Furies he has to take a more do-or-die approach. Being that the machine he's building with the relics is a boom tube generator for Themyscira, the dark god asks his minions if, with the energy they now have, they can open a stable portal toA.R.G.U.S. headquarters. The answer, of course, is yes: Darkseid and his forces on Earth are preparing for a direct assault of A.R.G.U.S. itself.
