TheMarvel Family is theDC Universe's firstsuperherofamily. There have been manymembers over the years, includingUncle Marvel,Captain Marvel, Jr. andMary Marvel; but the original group was founded byCaptain Marvel and theLieutenant Marvels.
During the events of52, Captain Marvel's longtime foeBlack Adam would go on to create his own version of the Marvel Family which he called theBlack Marvel Family. InThe New 52, the Marvel is now known as theShazam Family.
TheMarvel Family was created byC.C. Beck, first appearing inWhiz Comics #21 (1941).
