Alvin Schwartz was an American comic book writer, poet and novelist. He worked forDC Comics during the 40's until the late 50's when he moved on to other projects. Schawrtz began working for DC in 1942 on the titleAction Comics and later worked on titles likeBatman,World's Finest and many other Golden Age comic books. He is notorious for writing the first story that featured Batman and Superman together for the first time inWorld's Finest #71.
Personal History
Schwartz was married and lived in Chesterville, Ontario; Canada. He died in 2011 at the age of 94 of heart-related complications.
