

As a a proven businessman, frontline worker, elected official, first responder, and family man, I am committed to continuing to fight against the growth of government and to defend the U.P. from the misguided policies of those who don’t understand our way of life. I will continue to fight for small businesses and against the needless regulations that harm our communities.
Dave Prestin is from Cedar River, where he resides with his wife, Kathie, and daughter, Mattie. Dave is anexperienced businessman who has aproven record of turning around failed businesses, most recently with Cedar River Plaza. Dave is currently a fully licensed paramedic, an active first responder, and also is with the Cedarville Township Volunteer Fire Department. Prior to his election as a State Representative, Dave served as the District 6 Commissioner for the Menominee County Board of Commissioners. Dave has also served on the Alger Delta Cooperative Electric Association Board and the Stephenson Lions Club. A second-term state legislator,Dave has used his experience to fight for us, and he’s proven that he’s committed to making sure that our voice is heard in Lansing.
Dave knows how important reliable energy is in the Upper Peninsula, and will fight against foolish energy policies that drive energy prices up and reliability down.
Dave supports constitutional carry as a right for all law abiding citizens and will fight unconstitutional attempts to weaken our rights.
As a paramedic, Dave knows the value of human life and is committed to protecting the most vulnerable among us. He has been endorsed by Right to Life of Michigan in his previous elections.
Dave is an experienced businessman and knows how Lansing’s regulations can kill small business in the U.P. Dave will fight for business owners because he realizes the importance they have in our community.
Dave understands the value of education and will fight to bring common sense reforms and to improve the education in Michigan.
Dave supports the men and women of law enforcement and understands the challenges faced for law enforcement. As a firefighter and paramedic himself, Dave will have the backs of all first responders in Lansing.
Dave believes that the government is by the people and for the people and that government has a duty to be accountable to its citizens.
As a lifelong entrepreneur, Dave will always fight unnecessary regulations that harm Michigan’s citizens.
Dave believes as a Democracy, election integrity is paramount to the legitimacy of the peoples’ voices.
Dave understands how poor government can hurt our farmers and the agriculture industry and knows that farming is the backbone of our society and needs help.
