Vocabularies of the Bibliothèque nationale de France
This page provides vocabularies used at the "Bibliothèque nationale de France" (French national library), so that our data can be easily used in the “Web of data” (Linked data): country codes (ISO 3166), relators codes and types of subject headings (RAMEAU).
They are matched with some controlled vocabularies, promulgated by the Library of Congress onid.loc.gov: identifiers (URI) for equivalent vocabularies from the BnF and the Library of Congress are automatically interlinked.
However some vocabularies meet some specific needs of the BnF, which produces its bibliographic records in a particular Marc format: Intermarc.
These vocabularies are available in HTML and in RDF (Resource description framework), by clicking on the RDF icon at the bottom of the pages.
