Jules Verne (8 February1828 -24 March1905) was aFrenchauthor who lived onEarth during the19th and20th centuries. He was famed as a pioneer of the field ofscience fiction writing.

Upon her revival fromcryogenic suspension in theyear2371,Amelia Earhart, unconvinced of what she was hearing about theUSSVoyager, stated that space travel was purely science fiction, such as the work of Wells. (VOYepisode: "The 37's")
