    Biography

    Season 2

Rekkles started playing competitive League of Legends in 2012, playing forPlaying Ducks and PAH, whilst also subbing for bothTeam BLACK andSK Gaming. During this time, even at such a young age, Rekkles had the chance to play against teams of an especially high standard. In November 2012, he joinedFnatic as their starting AD Carry.

    Season 3

Rekkles' young age had limited him however, preventing him from being able to play in the2013 EU LCS for Fnatic.

As he was unable to play in the LCS,Fnatic.Beta (a secondary Fnatic squad) was created around him. However the team disbanded after a few months. In May 2013 he started playing together withYoungBuck,Shook v2,cowTard, andUnlimited asPrideFC, and after the team got signed byCopenhagen Wolves, he agreed to continue playing with them as a stand-in. Together, he and Fnatic decided that it would be best for him to rejoin the roster in the 2014 Season, as he was not eligible to play until after the group stage.[33]

On November 22, 2013, Rekkles officially retook the starting AD Carry position frompuszu.[34]

    2014 Season

Rekkles andFnatic started off their season at theIEM Season VIII - World Championship. The team came 2nd, losing toKT Rolster Bullets in the Grand Final.

TheSpring Split went relatively well for the team. Rekkles' very first week playing in theSpring Split saw him take the prize of weekly MVP as Fnatic won each of their 4 superweek games, mainly due to his performances onJinx. Fnatic ended the split in 2nd place behindSK Gaming, securing themselves a place in theSpring Playoffs. The whole team raised their game for the playoffs, and they emerged victorious after a win againstAlliance in their semifinal matchup, and against SK Gaming in the Grand Final.

Due to Fnatic's performance in the Spring Playoffs, they had qualified to compete atAll-Star Paris 2014, along with other regional winners from around the world. The team made it to the semifinals of the tournament, losing to the world champions at the time,SK Telecom T1 K.

The start of theSummer Split was shaky for Rekkles and the team. Fnatic could not break into the top 2 until Week 7 of the split, at which point their main rivalsAlliance were already a considerable distance ahead of them in the race for 1st place. Rekkles impressed with hisLucian andVayne throughout, picking up the Weekly MVP Award for Week 9, though Fnatic could only manage a 2nd place finish. The team aimed to put the split behind them and focus on theSummer Playoffs. A close-fought win overROCCAT in the semifinal meant that Rekkles and the team would face Alliance in the final. The match ended in defeat for Fnatic, but the playoffs saw the team seal their qualification for the2014 Season World Championship.

Fnatic were placed with Group C along withLMQ,OMG andSamsung Blue. Fnatic only managed 2 wins in their group, meaning that Rekkles and the team did not progress to the knockout stage.

    2015 Season

On November 24, 2014, Rekkles officially joinedAlliance as starting AD carry, after long-standing rumors that the move was going to happen.[35][36] His first event with Alliance wasIEM San Jose. Seeded directly into the semifinals, Rekkles and the team lost their matchup toCloud9 and tied for third place withTeam SoloMid. Rekkles was nominated for the MVP award along withPowerOfEvil,Vizicsacsi,Kikis, andSneaky but lost the vote to Sneaky.

In order to comply with new LCS regulations,Alliance would have to change their name for the upcoming season. On January 8, it was announced that the team had rebranded asElements.[37] TheSpring Split itself was not a success for the team, finishing in 7th place after making a number of roster changes. This meant that the team would not go to playoffs, but would qualify for theSummer Split.

On May 14, Rekkles rejoinedFnatic.[38] The team went into theSummer Season with confidence running high after their performance on the international stage at the2015 Mid-Season Invitational, withSteeelback on the roster, before Rekkles rejoined the team.Fnatic finished the regular season with a perfect, unbeaten 18-0 record - and became the first team to achieve this inLeague Championship Series history. This meant a 1st place regular season finish for the team and a bye to the semifinals of theSummer Playoffs.Fnatic went on to win the playoffs, beatingOrigen 3-2 in a tight final. This qualified the team for the2015 World Championship, where they would compete as Europe's #1 seed.

At the2015 World Championship,Fnatic were seeded into Group B along withahq e-Sports Club,Invictus Gaming, andCloud9. They picked up 4 wins in the group, going unbeaten in the 2nd week of group stage games, thanks in part to Rekkles'Kennen pick, meaning they would advance to the knockout stage of the tournament. In the quarterfinals,Fnatic beatEDward Gaming 3-0 before suffering a 3-0 loss toKOO Tigers in the semifinals, putting an end to their campaign.

    2016 Season

At the start of the season,Fnatic were voted to play atIEM Season X - Cologne. They fielded a roster including Rekkles andFebiven from their 2015 roster along with new membersGamsu,Spirit, andNoXiAK. The team had a bye to the semifinals, but were beaten at this stage byQiao Gu Reapers. Despite being only in fifth place in theEU LCS split at the time of the tournament, Fnatic were invited toIEM Katowice due to their previous season's success. There, they had a surprisingly strong run, finishing in second place behindSK Telecom. Despite his only being played one time in premier-region play prior to Katowice (bySneaky on Cloud9 in North America), Rekkles played Jhin in 5 out of Fnatic's 6 wins, not dropping a single game on the champion.

    2017 Season

In theEU LCS 2017 spring split playoffs, Rekkles and Fnatic finished 3rd. In the semifinals, they lost toG2 Esports 1-3, while in the match for 3rd place they won againstMisfits Gaming. In the summer split they also took 3rd place, in the semi-finals losing toMisfits Gaming and in the match for 3rd place winning against theH2k team 3-2. After winning 3-0 againstH2K in the regional finals, Fnatic went to the2017 World Championship. They reached them to quarter-finals losing 1-3 againstRoyal Never Give Up.

    2018 Season

During theEU LCS 2018 Season, Rekkles andFnatic won both the Spring and Summer Split. In both splits, he secured a spot on the 1st All-Pro Team.

At the2018 World Championship, Fnatic was seeded into Group D alongside100 Thieves,Invictus Gaming, andG-Rex. They picked up five wins in the group, allowing them to advance into the knockout stage of the tournament. They won the quarter-finals againstEDward Gaming and sweptCloud9 3-0 in the semi-finals to be the first western team since Season 1 to advance to the finals at worlds. However they were defeated 0-3 by their group rivalInvictus Gaming and finally finished the World Championship at second place.

    2019 Season

In theLEC 2019 spring split, Rekkles andFnatic reachedLEC playoffs. There they lost toOrigen 3-1 after 2 wins againstTeam Vitality andSplyce. Thus Rekkles missed theMid-Season Invitational.

In the summer split they won second place, almost beatingG2 Esports in an intense Bo5 series.

At2019 World Championship, they eliminatedRoyal Never Give Up and advanced from the "group of death" to the quarter-finals. There they were defeated byFunPlus Phoenix, the later winners of the tournament.

    2020 Season

In the Spring Season, Rekkles placed 2nd in theLEC withFnatic, losing 0–3 in the finals against long term rivalsG2 Esports. This repeated in the Summer Season, whereFnatic was once more defeated byG2 Esports, again by 0–3. The 2nd place in summer qualified the team to the2020 World Championship.

In November 2020, Rekkles contract inFnatic had expired. Just likeCaps had done in 2018, he decided to move on fromFnatic toG2 Esports, where the spot for AD Carry was open afterPerkz had left the team to play in theLCS. Thus a "superteam" was formed, bringing together players that were widely regarded as excellent if not the best in Europe.

    2021 Season

During the 2021 spring split, Rekkles and his new teamG2 Esports placed first in the regular season. At playoffs however they lost their second best-of-five againstMAD Lions and dropped to the losers bracket. There they facedRogue, which was predicted to be the final.G2 Esports lost 1-3 and disappointingly claimed 3rd in the Spring Playoffs of the league.

In the first weeks of the Summer Season of the European competition,G2 Esports looked dominant. But in later weeks the team's performance slumped. At the end, they came back and claim 2nd place in a tiebreaker withMAD Lions andMisfits Gaming in the regular season, qualifying for playoffs. There they lost againstMAD Lions and then Rekkless' former teamFnatic. Therefore they also did not manage to reach a spot at the2021 World Championship. After this series of events,G2 Esports' CEO Carlos "ocelote" Rodríguez placed Rekkles on the buyout market. His buyout price was listed at 1.5 million euro. After fans hoped he might join the North American League Championship Series or the Chinese League of Legends Pro League, Rekkles settled in the European regional league LigueLFL with teamKarmine Corp.

    2022 season

Rekkles and hisKarmine Corp team started the season in the group phase of the Regional leagueLFL 2022 Spring, where they finished 2nd with a score of 12-6. While the group phase was not disappointing forKarmine Corp, the playoffs definitely were. In the first match of the winner brucketKarmine Corp lost toLDLC OL 0-3 and in the loser brucket they lost toTeam BDS Academy 1-3 and thus finished 3rd in theLFL 2022 Spring. The consolation prize was that Rekkles' teammateCabochard won theLFL MVP award.

Luckily with their 3rd place they qualified for theEU Masters Spring 2022 tournament and got the chance to win the title for the 3rd time in a row.Rekkles andKarmine Corp started theEU Masters from the play-in phase, which they easily made it through to the group phase. There they finished in 1st place after overtime with a score of 6-1. In the playoffs they won, 3-1 againstUnicorns of Love Sexy Edition and then after a tight game they won 3-2 againstVitality.Bee to reach the final. In the final they faced theLDLC OL team, but despite not being favourites they won 3-1 and defended theirEU Masters title by winning it for the third time in a row.

In the summer split Rekkles qualified for the playoffs withKarmine Corp after finishing 6th in the regular season. Facing theGameWard team in the playoffs. Unfortunately, a 1-3 loss prevented them from playing in the summer edition of theEuropean Masters tournament.

After two splits spent withKarmine Corp in theLFL, Rekkles returned to theLEC. On 15 December 2022 he has moved on toFnatic, a team he has had the opportunity to represent many times in the past.

    2023 season

Rekkles' first split after returning toFnatic was not a successful one. They finishedLEC Winter 2023 in 9th place with a 2-7 record and did not advance to the Group Stage.During the Spring split, they finished 6th in the regular season with a score of 4-5. In the group stage, they dropped out by losing two very close bo3s againstAstralis andMAD Lions. Both matches ended with a score of 1-2.

At the end of April, Rekkles decided to roleswap from ADC to Support.Fnatic said they supported his decision, while they decided not to field him in the starting line-up for the 2023 LEC summer split.

On 11 December 2023, he officially reached an agreement withT1 and joined the team, which plays in the LCK CL under the nameT1 Esports Academy. He became part of the team as support for the 2024LCK CL season with the line-up :Dal -Guwon -Poby -Smash -Rekkles,Cloud as substitutive support andGBM as head coach.

    2024 season

The start of the LCK CL 2024 Spring split regular season for Rekkles and T1 Esports Academy was quite tough. They lost their first four matches, they were evenly matched and mostly lost by a score of 1-2. Then there was an awakening and they won some bo3s. They finished the first half of the regular season with a score of 3-6. The team continued to struggle in the second half. They collected the same number of wins (3) in it as they did in the first half and finally, with a score of 6-12 (and a map score of 20-27), they did not get into the play-offs, finishing 9th.

In the LCK CL 2024 Summer split, the Rekkles team managed to do much better. The group phase saw the T1 academy finish in 6th place with a 7-11 result qualifying for the playoffs. In the playoffs they were losing 0-2 in their first game againstBNK FearX Youth and turned the series around with a 3-2 win, losing 0-3 againstKT Rolster Challengers and 1-3 againstDplus KIA Challengers to finish 4th. Which gave T1 academy qualification for theAsia Star Challengers Invitational 2024 tournament. They also finished 4th at this tournament behind three other Korean teams, eliminating two Chinese teams along the way.

After a season with the T1 academy, Rekkles received a call-up fromT1 to go to the 2024 World Championship as a substitute. T1 won their 5th World Cup title, however Rekkles did not play any games.

    2025 season

Rekkles moved from Korea to Europe in the 2025 season. His explanation was that he wanted to be able to spend more time with his family. He joinedLos Ratones managed byCaedrel and playing in theNLC league, which allowed him to play mostly online from his home.Right from the start of theWinter Season Rekkles and the rest of the team looked great, finishing the group phase with a 4-0 scoreline without a single defeat.
