Assuming this is kept there (rather than just on a page that is linked), could you please changewrite a note on the item's talk page to e.g.adjust the file's categories. Thanks! Could you wikilinkthe file's categories toCommons:Categories? This would help people new to categories. Ideally, the header or section "Quick guide" would be highlighted somehow because users certainly don't need to read that long page to do any categorization or learn its basics – that doesn't seem possible currently and isn't important. For probably more or less the same reasons the meta page about structured dataCommons:Structured data is also linked in that sentence. Exactly. Thank you for bringing this up to general attention,heylenny; I wanted to write the same and am happy to see that you have already reported this! I have taken the liberty to make the heading a bit more specific and to add a thumbnail of the picture to make clear what we are talking about.Corot’sConcert champêtre is certainly an impressive painting, but I am still surprised to see it as today’s Picture of the day (2025-11-19) on the main page ofWikikmedia Commons because (i) it is not a Featured picture and (ii) there is a good reason for this: the reproduction is commendable, but certainly not up to our current standards for Featured pictures of paintings. –Aristeas(talk)16:04, 19 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
