World War II and the Nazi Holocaust.He was a German SS Commander and a SS-General between 1937 and 1945 . He was a SS Soldier from 1930-1932 . He was a Senior SS Officer from 1933-1945 . He rose to the Senior Military Officer rank in the SS from a SS-Standartenfuhrer (Colonel) to SS-Oberfuhrer (Senior Colonel or Brigadier) between 1933 and 1937 and finally SS-Brigadefuhrer (Brigadier or Major-General) to SS-Gruppenfuhrer (Major-General or Lieutenant General) and finally to SS-Obergruppenfuhrer (Lieutenant General or General) between 1937 and 1945 .
